In addition, Santa Maria ISD submitted an Operation Connectivity Order through Texas Education Agency and Region Four to provide internet access to students who do not have internet access at home. Verizon is still in the process of completing the network that will be servicing our area. Therefore, it does not appear that we will have the necessary resources to begin online instruction on August 24, 2020. Our school will provide instruction at its highest level of quality and must have equity in the educational opportunities and resources for all its students.

I visited it in winter so I can't say what is a service quality. But it seems to have everything one can need to relax on the beach or enjoy water sports. There is a bicycle path around the whole lake and marked hiking trail. Although the lake is intensively commercially used you can find there a beautiful nature and even a natural reservation.
Santa Maria ISD is working with Texas Education Agency to provide internet access to every student who does not have internet access at home. Additionally, we are using our resources to provide a technology device for every student who needs one. Our goal is for every student to participate in synchronous instruction if they choose remote learning.

I learn in lots of ways and lots of places, not just at school. I do things that have meaning and make a difference.
